
Davanagere: Chiranthana has been actively conducting cultural activities in Davanagere for the past 19 years. 25 women from Karnataka who have achieved excellence in the fields of art, education, self-employment, music, dance, sports, and many more, will be honored with the Karnataka Women Excellence awards 2021 at the Shivayogi Mandir in the city on Sunday 14th March.
Women Achievers from Davanagere, Hubli, Mysore, Chitradurga, and Bangalore have been successful in winning these awards. Around 138 women from across the state have applied for the award and 25 have been selected.
On the selection, Sampanna Muthalik, a member of the Governing Council of the Bapuji Institute of Davanagere, Alakanand MS, Lawyer, Dr. Sheila Sridhar, assistant dean of Mysuru University, Sri Sundaresh. National Swimming Coach, Senior Journalist GS Kumar, Senior Editor Mrs. Kiran Rajanahalli, UK resident Director Shri Ganapathi Bhat, and Uma Vidyadhar, President of Dubai Kannadigaru. The jury reviewed each application and selected the merits for the award.

Vandana Shastri (Social Services), Maitri S (Music), Inchar R Murthy (Music), Inchar B Chennapla (Narrator) has been selected for the Young Women Achiever Award in Karnataka.
Progam will be graced with the presence of Sri Basavaprabhu Swamiji, Sri Shamanoor Sivasankarappa, MLAs, Davanagere South, Sri Mahantesha Belagi, The Deputy Commissioner of Davanagere, Sri Veerash ST, Mayor of Davanagere, Prof. BK Tulsi Mala, Vice-Chancellor Akkamahadevi Women’s University Vijayapura, Dr. Sheila Sridhar, Assistant Dean, Department of Performing Arts, University of Mysore, Sri Ravichandra, Assistant Director, Department of Kannada and Culture, Davanagere, Mrs. Uma Vidyadhar President Kannadigaru Dubai.
In addition to the award ceremony, there will be dance performances by Chiranthan and Bharatanjali artists, Inspirational music will be sung by Mythri, Inchara Murthy.
