Free camp as part of FMHT’s 5th anniversary on May 1

Mangaluru: Father Muller Hospital Thumbay (FMHT) will celebrate its fifth anniversary on May 1. In the five years, FMHT has grown from a simple general hospital care to multispeciality hospital with state of the art facilities, with the motto of “heal & comfort” and slogan of “we care for you at every stage.”

To commemorate this achievement, a “Mega Free Health Checkup Camp” has been organised on May 1. As part of the celebrations, eye camp and free distribution of glasses, blood donation camp will be held on the same day.

For the celebratory function on the evening of May 1, Dr. U M Bhushi, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management will be the chief guest, Most Rev. Dr. Aloysious Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese will preside.

Special FMHT health card scheme will be launched on the same day as part of the 5th anniversary celebration, the press release said.

FMHT has been a great blessing to the people of Belthangady, Bantwal, Puttur taluks. Strategically located, FMHT has been providing not only healthcare facility closer to people of the area but also by organising outreach community programmes, camps and health awareness programmes and reaching out to people residing in the outskirts of Mangaluru.

The hospital now has 150-bed multispeciality hospital with multi-departmental OPDs, 24×7 services, new state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, convenient and spacious general and private wards, canteen and other facilities. To mark the 5th anniversary, the hospital organised free health check-up camps in the months of March and April. Blood investigation RBS, Haemoglobin screening, Thyroid, Pap smear Test etc., were done free of cost. A Rs 1500 cataract surgery package, medicines and Father Muller Health Card were provided free of cost in these camps.

Father Muller Hospital Thumbay has more than 18000 health card holders. For the past 5 years hospital has crossed nearly 75,000 outpatients and 7,500 inpatients.
