Mangalore : The BA Hospital at Thumbay in Bantwal taluk is now Father Muller, Hospital, Thumbay. Fr Muller Charitable Institutions of Mangalore, have taken over the Hospital management for Rs 18 crores, informed Fr Richard Coelho, Administrator of Fr Muller Medical College and Hospital.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the hospital under the new management will be inaugurated on June 2, Sunday . He said the hospital has been under the management of Fr Mullers since May 1.
The 100 bed hospital is equipped with the state-of-the art facilities and has good amenities to ensure best possible treatment to the patients.
The facilities include full-fledged operation theatre, labour theatre, ICU ventilator, full-fledged medical lab etc.
The various departments in the hospital include General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Opthalmology, Physiotherapy, ENT and Dental Clinic.
Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul DSouza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese will preside over the inaugural function. B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and District in-charge Minister, UT Khader, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JR Lobo, MLA and B Ahmed Haji Mohiuddeen, founder and Chairman of BA Group, Thumbay will be the chief guests.
Fr Rudolph DSouza, Administrator, FMCI, Dr Sanjeev Rai, Chief Medical Services Officer were also present at the press meet.
