Mangalore: With the urge to conduct a CBI probe into the sensational murder case of FR K J Thomas Akhila Karnataka Catholic Christhara Kannada Sangh pleaded CM Siddaramaiah to look into the matter.


Addressing a press meet on Tuesday May 3, Rafael Raj secretary of the association alleged the three culprit priest involved in the case.
Elaborating the allegation Raj said that Fr Antony Swamy, the parish priest of Bangalore cathedral was the one to invite FR K J Thomas over lunch on the day of the murder.
“Bishop Bernard Moras, during the investigation conducted on the day of murder confirmed from a distant without even seeing the body properly that it belonged to FR K J Thomas, which also make him a suspect”, alleged Raj.
He also suspected Estate committee president Ronald Dsouza’s involvement in the case stating that
Ronald had forced FR K J Thomas to sell the land owned by the seminary to some underworld dons, to which the Father had refused.
Rafael also condemned the order passed by Home minister K J George to arrest all the Kannada priests.
The association has warned to hold a protest in the upcoming days along the BJP minorities’ wing, if action is not taken.
It can be recalled that on March 31, last year 62-year-old Fr K J Thomas, the Rector of St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary was murdered in Bangalore.
