Mangalore: The 4th additional sessions court has sentenced Rashid Malbari five years of strict imprisonment and a fine of Rs.10,000.







Alleged key-men of Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim, Mohemmed Hashim and Rasheed Malbari were arrested by DCIB police in 2009 at Talapadi and Kottanchal of Kasargod respectively.
On 26th of August the sessions court convicted both the accused for the possession of illegal arms.
They were produced in-front of the court and the final verdict was given today by Judge B.K Naik.
Later while coming out of the court he said, “I will challenge this judgment in high court. This judgment seems to be more, to please a particular community and is not fair. He further said once I am out I will personally meet DCIB Inspector Venkatesh Prasanna as I have been framed in this case.”
When reporters asked him about the cases registered against him by the Interpole, he said, Why did not the Interpole approach me? Let them approach me and then we will see.
Abdul Rasheed Malbari told that, his name is not “Malbari” and thst he nither from Malabar Kerala. ” My Name is Rasheed Sheikh Hussein And iam from Hejamadi in Udupi District,” he also added that the Mumbai Police who arrested him had named him Malbari because he spoke Beary language , the police might have mistaken for Malayalam
Other cases imposed are:
1. Bunder Police station: Kanchan Textile Manager Murder
2. Barke police station: Abusing police
3. Goregaon police station Mumbai: Attempt of murder
4. Nagapad police station: Attempt of murder
5. Vikroli police station: Murder, Attempt of murder, threats, Hafta cases
