Bantwal: The Dakshina Kannada Police have nabbed five accused in connection with the case of assaulting a barber and vandalising his saloon in Tumbe junction, Bantwal Taluk.

The accused are Buvith Shetty alias Buvith, Vasanth Kumar, Kamalaksha, Jithendra alias Jithu and Abhijith alias Abhi.

It may be recalled that on June 10, accused Buvith Shetty and his gang vandalised a saloon and assaulted Deekshith who was working in a saloon. Later, the accused also fled with Rs 1000 cash and mobile phone.

Accused Buvith Shetty is also accused in the murder of Harish Poojary in 2015.
