Bantwal : The first showers in Bantwal taluk have hinted that  BC Road would not be bereft of problems even this monsoons, thanks to the incomplete four-laning works.

On Monday June 9, the heavy rains that lashed the taluk poured in several problems. A half open drain in front of a shop near the Ganesh Medical in the town, was overflowing with water, giving indications that it would surely invite danger. The drain is clogged with wastes giving no scope for free flow of water.The result is that water is flowing on the road itself, giving rise to problems.

Locals say their  oral as well as written complaints to the TMC Chief Officer regarding the drainage problem here, has been of no avail.
