First in Mangaluru: Treatment plant at Mohtisham’s new project

Mangaluru: Mohtisham Builders, which stepped into its glorious 25th year on Saturday, launched in-house sewage treatment plant for large scale housing project, which is first time in Mangaluru.

The on-site sewage treatment plant was inaugurated at Ivory Towers, a residential project by Mangaluru-based builders and developers – Mohtisham Complexes. “The water used for domestic purposes in the building will be recycled and then used for tertiary purposes such as gardening and cleaning the complex. This is expected to bring down the fresh water usage by at least 30 per cent, says the builder. 

Besides, the celebration also marked a panel discussion on the topic ‘Mangaluru and Development’.

Earlier, Minister for higher education and tourism, R.V Deshpande appreciated Mohtisham partners for pioneering the realty business in Mangaluru. Former union mininster M Verappa Moily said, “Mangaluru has developed with Mohtisham. 

Arshad, managing director of Mohtisham thanked Mangaluru for supporting its growth.

Former minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas M. Veerappa Moily unveiled the 25th anniversary logo. Moideen Bawa launched the brochure of Cresent apartments. Mayor Mahabala Maarla launched Galleria complex.

Later, B.A Moidheen and former minister, J Krishna Palemar inaugurated ‘Ivory Enclave’. Nigam Wasani, Captain Ganesh Karnik MLC, Abdul Rauf corporator, Masood former MLC were present on the dais

A cheque of Rs one lac each was given to student Islamic organisation, Balika ashram and Sion Ashram trust.

Saud executive director of Mohtisham gave the vote of thanks. Dharmaraj, chief executive director, Vinay Hegde chancellor Nitte University, Abdulla Kunhi chancellor Yenopoya University, Dr Aroor Prasad Rao, owner Shankar Vittal motors and Abdulla Kutti, MLA Kerala were the other dignitaries on the dais.
