Uppinangady :Fire erupted at a  Mobile store here on February 7, Friday night. It is learnt the fire which broke out after the shop was closed, gutted the entire shop.

The shop named Balaji is owned by Srikanth. It was from this shop that a police constable had obtained a SIM card and had misused documents of a passport applicant named Shabeer.

According to the earlier reports, a policeman allegedly misused the documents of Shabeer from Uppinangady to obtain a SIM card from the mobile shop Balaji, for his personal use. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.  Police are trying to   find if the fire was accidental or an act of sabotage.

No case has been registered so far.
