Mangalore: The new District Court Complex building that has come up at the Court Hills near the Aloysius College in the city was inaugurated on Saturday February 8.














Karnataka High Court Judge Justcie K Bhakthavatsala inaugurated the eight-storied court complex in the presence of, District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo, MLC Monappa Bhandary and other dignitaries.
Speaking after the inaugural, K Bhakthavatsala said that the Judiciary and Advocates are the two faces of the same coin. He also said that Justice must prevail as it is the fundamental right of an individual. The public must encourage justice and rise against immoral activities in the society, he added.
With regards to crime in the society K Bhakthavatsala said that the crime rate has seen a rise wherein inimitable ways of committing crime are heard of these days. He urged the public to stand up for truth and justice.
The construction of the District Court Complex building has completed after a prolong wait of nine years. Several High Court Judges and prominent dignitaries graced the function during the inaugural.
The new integrated building would house a total of 30 courts including family courts, labour courts, courts that currently operated from the corporation building and the district court, moreover the courts hitherto functioning in the City Corporation building will be shifted to the new court complex on February 10.
