Moodbidri: Fire broke out in a forest behind the Kallamundkur Sarvodaya school on Monday and continued even on Tuesday. The fire service staff are trying to douse the raging fire.

The Moodbidri fire brigade soon reached the spot on Monday and had brought fire under control. On Monday night again fire erupted and the fire service as well as locals and students have continued to try to bring the fire under control.

As the fire brigade vehicle cannot enter the forest, the operation to extinguish the fire was not successful.

Hundreds of trees have been destroyed in the mishap. The locals suspected that Short-circuit might have caused fire.
