Karkala: A dispute over dining table result in a fierce fight between a father and a son, ultimately leading the raged son to cut off his father’s hand.

The victim is Pandu alias Pandurang (54) from Kukkunduru-Nakre, while his son Uday is the accused.

It is said that when Pandu noticed that the dining table at home was missing, he summoned his son and questioned about the whereabouts of the table.

Suddenly the conversation took an angry tone and irritated Uday challenged Pandu that he had shifted the table upstairs and if he had guts we should get it down.

When Pandu went to get the table down, the two got into fisticuffs and Uday ended up cutting off his father’s hand.

Pandu is undergoing treatment.
