Mangaluru: Highly placed sources in the RSS said the senior RSS leader Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat has been relieved from the key post of Kshethreeya Sampark Pramukh, during the reshuffle of the south zone posts’ of Rastriya Seva Sangha (RSS) on Saturday.

The changes were made at the ongoing RSS 3-day annual meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the highest body for policy formulation and decision making of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here at Reshimbagh of Nagpur.

In the reshuffle, Bhat in what amounts to a demotion will now be a Kshetreeya Karyakarini Sadasya (member).

When asked if Bhat is being sidelined by the RSS, a source said that RSS is not a political party to go after power. He is our key advisor and an experienced leader. The changes were done in his presence, the source informed.

He also said that there will be changes in the posts at the  State and national level, for which elections will be held on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Hence, it is also possible for the RSS to choose Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for a greater post in the state or national level.
