Puttur: The Excise officials intercepted an auto-rickshaw transporting liquor illegally and arrested one.

Liquor and the rickshaw were seized.

The arrested is identified as Balakrishna Nayak (52), a resident of Bajapalla, Narimogaru here.

As much as 8.64 litre whiskey without documents was recovered from the rickshaw.
