Bantwal : The entire nation is looking towards Karnataka which is going to the polls very soon,said MP and BJP National General Secretary Varun Gandhi.
Addressing an election campaign rally in favour of Bantwal Assembly constituency BJP candidate at BC Road on April 26, Friday, he said every citizen should first think about his motherland before anything else. Karnataka is a cultured land and there is the inevitability of bringing the BJP to power for a strong administration, Varun said.
He further added that the BJP was strong in the coastal Karnataka due to the hard works of party workers and called upon party men to strive for the victory of the party.
Continuing, he said he knew the Bantwal Congress candidate Rajesh Naik since several years and described him as a sincere person who would strive for the welfare of the constituency.
District BJP President Padmanabha Kottari who also spoke was highly critical of Bantwals BJP candidate Ramanatha Rai for his statement that his opponent in Bantwal was not Rajesh Naik but Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat. He said Rai was making such statements out of desperateness.
Udupi District Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari who also spoke said the Congress has cheated the people by not being able to alleviate poverty.
BJP candidate Rajesh Naik, former MLA Rukmaya Poojari, State BJP Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat, Tungappa Bangera, NB Aboobakker, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, Dinesh Bhandari and others were present on the occasion.
