Newskarnataka – Mangalore
Mangalore: Members of the Democratic Youth Federation of India staged a protest in front of the MESCOM Head Office in the city on Monday June 2 demanding an end to the problems haunting the MESCOM office at Kavoor.

Addressing the protestors, Dayananda Shetty, Corporator and DYFI District Secretary, said the MESCOM authorities have failed to solve the problems of the MESCOM office at Kavoor and added only one service centre operates for a jurisdiction spanning eight wards. Even the vacancies have not been filled, he alleged.
The protestors demanded that the Kulur sub-division service station of the MESCOM be immediately opened and all vacancies filled at the earliest. They also urged for steps to end power cut and to stop collecting additional deposits from power consumers.
Several DYFI activists participated in the protest.
