DYFI protests infront of District incharge minister’s house

Bantwal : DYFI protested in front of district incharge minister Ramanath Rai’s house on June 23 and urged him to direct the authorities concerned to arrest the real culprits in the murder of Bajrang Dal activist Rajesh Poojary. They also demanded the release of innocents arrested by the police.

DYFI district president Muneer Katipalla said that if they donot conduct reinvestigation we would protest in front of home minister.We will also hold a funeral procession of State govt from Mangalore Congress office to DC office.

Rai should stop behaving irresponsible. He is just consoling us by saying that he would talk to CM and will arrest the culprits.In state for murders there is no end. In a democratic country like India it is shameful that we are on the  streets to ensure human values, he said.

However the protesters went through the junction with a intention of gheraoing the minister’s house. But police were deployed hundred meters away from his house. They shouted slogans against Ramanath Rai, MLA B Moidin Bawa and investigation officer CI Lingappa Poojary.

The CPIM leader spoke to the protesters. CITU leader A Ramanna Vitla, Naushad Bavu, Santhosh Bajal, Bawa Padarangi, Ishwari Belthangady, Nabisa Belthangady were also prsent.

Bantwal DYSP Rashmi Paradi, Circle Inspector Belliyappa, Bantwal city station incharge Nandakumar, Bantwal rural station in charge Nagaraj, Vitla station incharge T R Raghavendra, Poonjalakatte Station officer Lathish Kumar DK provided security to the minister.
