Kasargod: Sub Inspector Ajith Kumar of the Kasargod City Police Station and his team have successfully tracked down and arrested a duo which was transporting cannabis oil know to be worthy of several lakhs of rupees.

Naimarmoola resident Tyre Faizal (31) and Mustafa (23) from Kumble are the ones to be arrested. These were handed over the cannabis oil to be given to a client, for smuggling it abroad.

They were caught under the Chemnad Bridge of Chandragiri Lake.

Based on a definite tip-off, the Kasargod City Police nabbed conducted the operation and seized the oil. The two arrested had reached below the Chemnad Bridge, where the receiver was told to reach. To their ill luck, the police reached well on time.

Around 450 gram of cannabis oil was seized, which according to the international marker rate is Rs 9 Lakh INR.

The police have said that there are others involved. Fayaz, who is currently arrested is said to be involved in ganja peddling and other cases. The police are digging deeper into the network.
