Driver turns savior for 2 kids

Udupi : Guruprasad Shetty, driver of a government vehicle proved a Good Samaritan to two children who would have met a watery grave but for his  timely help.

Shetty who had taken a group of government officials including Sadananda Nayak, CODP of Udupi taluk for supervision of Anganavadi centres near Katapady, saw two children  on the verge of drowning in a nearby lake. Without a second thought , he rushed to the place,  dived into the lake and rescued the two children.

The kids who were rescued are Shravan and Shravya. Both are fine. The locals are all praise for Shetty’s bravery.
