Dolla, Mangalore receives Konkani Kutam Award

Mangalore : The prestigious Konkani Kutam Award was presented to eminent Konkani artiste and multi-faceted personality Avitas  Adolphus Cutinha, well-known as Dolla, Mangalore, at the St Sebastian Hall, Bendore in Mangalore on July 28, Sunday. The award is instituted by Konkani Kutam, Bahrain.

The award carried a cash prize of Rs 50,000 a memento and a citation. Chief guests JR Lobo,  Fr Denis D’Souza, PRO of Udupi Diocese and CGS Takode, eminent Konkani writer, presented the  award to Cutinha.

Speaking after receiving the Award, Cutinha  said he was overwhelmed to receive the coveted   award and was  thankful to Konkani Kutam was  selecting him for the award. He also spoke about the factors that contributed in making him a successful artiste. He also expressed his gratitude to Konkani Kogull Late Wilphy Rebimbus and his family for the support extended to him.

 Richard Moraes, Convenor of Konkani Kutam, Bahrain, Vittori Karkal, Titus Noronha, Leslie Rego and several others were present at the function.
