Mangaluru: Two resident doctors and a nurse came under attack by the family members of an 18-year-old, who died at the intensive care unit of a private hospital. They also damaged the furniture in the hospital, it is said.

According to information received, family members trooped into the medical ICU of a private hospital after 18-year-old Faisal from Ullal died.

The family members rained blows on Jasir Ali and Vijosh, the two resident doctors in the ICU, and a nurse. They also damaged a few equipment and furniture there, said sources.

The police rushed to the spot as people started to gather. The family members staged a demonstration seeking action for alleged negligence. The police officials were holding talks with the family members and trying to defuse the situation.
