Mangalore : As lakhs and lakhs of people in the state of Uttarakhand continue to suffer after the recent unprecedented deluge that hit the state, the DK District Co-operative Milk Producers Union has decided to do its little bit to mitigate the hardships and problems of the affected people.
On July 16, Tuesday, the Union contributed a cheque of Rs 10 lakh as its first instalment for the cause of Uttarakhand flood relief works. A delegation of the Union led by DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai, District Milk Union President Raviraj Hegde Kodavur met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore and handed over the cheque to him.
Seetaram Rai Savanoor, Monappa Shetty Ekkar, Sucharitha Shetty, Padmanabha Shetty Arkaje, Directors of the Union and Dr BV Satyanarayana, Managing Director, were also present on the occasion.
