Mangalore: The Dakshina Kannada cultural event for orphanage school children organized a sports day, to mark the 15th annual Orphanage Olympics on Sunday December 1.

The event was held at Shastavu Shri Bhoothanthesawara trust premises at Badaga Yedapadavu by Rotary club of Mangalore central in association with Shastavi Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Trust.

Around 600 participants from 10 orphanages participated in the Orphanage Olympics held with the aim to promote and support orphanage children in Mangalore. Children participated in sports like back balloon race, tyre race, slush race, throw ball, caterpillar race, kothlai bandi, arm wrestling, thappangai and tug of war organised in five different categories.
