Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Congress Interim President, Ibrahim Kodijal today said that, District In-Charge Minister Ramanath Rai previously opposed the Yettinahole project, but after he went through the research report, he realized that it would not harm the district in terms of water resource, and he supported the project.

Speaking to the media at the district Congress office on Saturday he said, “Rai received the technical feedback from Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, Veerappa Moily and Sadananda Gowda who started this project. Based on that information, he backed the project to provide water to some of the districts of north Karnataka.”

He further said that, the DK Congress will support the project.

Speaking on PM Modi’s comment about Kerala he said that, overall Kerala is a well developed State. The comments made by the PM will affect the votes of BJP itself.

“Modi is well known for making fake promises. He didn’t achieve anything in his two years of administration. He should learn the lessons of development from Siddaramaiah, whose government has successfully completed three years of administration by fulfilling more than 110 promises out 168. And has emerged as a government of poor and needy,” he added.

It may be recalled that Modi had made a controversial statement by comparing Kerala to Somalia.

Office bearers Vishwas Das, Padmanabha, CF Mustafa, Nazeer Bajal and others were present.
