Mangaluru: A free medical camp was organised by Mangaluru south assembly constituency and Mangaluru city Congress committee at Ashoknagar higher primary school on June 26. The camp which included blood donation, dental check-up, malaria check-up and thyroid check-up especially for women was organised under the leadership of Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo.

Inaugurating the camp, J R Lobo thanked A J Hospital, KMC and the party workers for helping to organize the camp. He said,”People neglect their health and many of them are unable to take treatment at hospitals. Medical camps are being organised every month in this constituency. I urge all the party workers to work as a unit and make the benefits of this camp reach everyone”.

Youth Congress president Mithun Rai thanked Lobo for taking the initiative to organize such medical camps and also the party workers for lending the help required to organize the event.

“People often ignore health. It is very essential and necessary to go for check-ups. I thank our MLA for this initiative. Hope everyone takes advantage of this camp,” said former MUDA chairman Suresh Ballal.

Congress leaders Vishwas Das, Ashith Periera, Suresh Shetty and corporators Nagaveni and Akhila Alva along with others were present.
