District BJP pays homage to Gopinath Munde

Mangalore: The District Committee of the BJP convened an emergency meeting   on Tueday June 3 to pay homage to Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde who died in a road accident in New Delhi    this morning.

Umanath Kotian, District BJP Vice President who presided over the meeting, said the untimely demise of Munde was a great loss to the party as well as the nation. He described late Munde as a   voice of the backward classes who had played a pivotal role in the progress of Maharashtra as its deputy chief minister in the past.

He had even served as in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka, Kotian recalled and   hoped the Almighty would give his family the strength to bear with the loss.

Kishore Rai, District BJP General Secretary, Ravishanker Mijar, city unit President, Satish Prabhu, District Spokesperson, Jagadish Adhikari, District Vice President, party leaders Sanjay Prabhu, Ashok Krishnapura, M Shanker Bhat, Roopa D Bangera, Premanand Shetty, Yashwanth Amin, Gurucharan, Sanjeeva Shetty Amblamogaru, Meera Karkera, Vedavyasa Kamath, Sudhir Shetty and others were present.
