Sullia : In the wake of fast spreading Dengue in various places of Sullia taluk, the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr KN Vijayaprakash embarked upon a reality check drive and paid a surprise visit to the Primary Health Centres at Panja  and Guttigar where Dengue patients have been admitted.

The officer spoke to the patients and gathered first hand information on the treatment provided to them. He also interacted with the medical and health officials and elicited information on the measures taken to check the spread of the disease. The ZP Chief Executive Officer further sought details regarding the progress registered in the door-to-door awareness campaign.

He even   cross checked the details provided by the officials by telephoning some of the houses where the officials have made a visit, on the basis of the particulars entered in the records.

Dr Srirangappa, District Health Officer, Dr Arun, District Vector-Borne Disease Control Officer, Dr Subrahmanya, Health Officer of Sullia taluk and several officials were present during the ZP    CEOs visit.
