Mangalore : Dr OR Srirangappa, District Health Officer has said that the Department would make all out efforts to check the spread of Dengue during monsoons.

Addressing press persons at his office, the Officer said  a door-to-door awareness drive on the dreaded Dengue disease will be held from June 10 to 15. During the drive, health department staff would meet the people and sensitize them on the  preventive measures to check the disease as also its symptoms.

The District Health Officer said  more Dengue cases were  reported from the district  this year. Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan informative pamphlets on Dengue will be distributed to  children of various schools, the district health officer informed.
