Bantwal : The Samajika Nyayapara Horata Samithi of Bantwal at its meeting held here has decided to intensify its agitation if its demand with regard to the recent death of a pregnant woman at a private nursing home in Bantwal is not fulfilled. Here it is worth mentioning that Shakuntala, the Vice President of Sarapady Gram Panchayat who had been admitted to the nursing home for her second delivery had died allegedly due to medical negligence.
The Samithi has already demanded legal action against the doctors who attended on the pregnant woman and also to cancel the permit of those hospitals which do not have adequate facilities.
The Samithi has decided to launch a movement in all 84 villages of the taluk if the demand was not fulfilled and even condemned the recent strike call given by the IMA in the taluk to oppose the protest staged by the Samithi.
Allipade Prabhaker Daivagudde, Dharmavathi Gowda, Usha, Chandappa Anchan, DM Kulal, Banuchandra Krishnapura, Aboobakker Ammunje, Kanchalakshi, Keshava Naik and others took part in the meeting.
