DCIB Sleuths nab Tanker Driver in Pilfering Act

Puttur: The District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) sleuths arrested a tanker driver of Madhya Pradesh (MP) who was involved in pilfering petrol and selling at Addahole, near Shiradi village on Mangalore – Bangalore National Highway (NH) 75, here on Monday June 17.

The arrested has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a native of MP who was nabbed by DCIB sleuths led by sub-inspector Vinay S Nayak, while the former was pilfering the petrol from a tanker parked besides the road.  Another tanker driver and a cleaner – both from Uttar Pradesh (UP) fled from the scene.

The cops seized 2 tankers and a Maruti Omni from the spot.  The case has been handed over to Uppinangady police station.
