Udupi : DCIB sleuths of Udupi have been successful in nabbing two notorious drug peddlers at Giliyaru on July 31, Wednesday. The duo was arrested when they were waiting for a customer to sell ganja. The police have seized nearly 1.2 kg of ganja, some cash and a two-wheeler from the two.
The arrested have been identified as Akashbhavan Ibrahim alias Escape Ibrahim (42) and Khader(46) of Padukere. Police said the two had brought ganja from Shimoga and intended it to sell in Udupi.
It is also learnt that one of the arrested Akashbhavan Ibrahim is a notorious criminal and has already undergone imprisonment in various cases including theft cases. Several complaints have also been registered against him in various police stations of the district.
