Mangalore: The position of the Mangalore International Airport has slipped to some extent compared to last year in the bi-annual Customer Satisfaction Survey of Airports Authority of India (AAI). The survey was conducted among the 52 small airports.
Mangalore Airport, which scored 4.68 out of 5 points to finish ninth last time has this time scored only 4.12 points and has slipped to 27th position.
Jodhpur airport tops the list by scoring 4.69 points. The survey was conducted on the basis of 33 parameters including parking facility, baggage trolleys, check-in queue, waiting time for security clearance, speed of baggage service etc.
Mangalore Airport, however scored the highest in cleanliness of airport terminal and washrooms. Commenting on the issue, the Airport Director said the airport has been striving to provide the best of services and that there has been no deficiency of service at any time.
