Mangaluru: After violent protests and police lathicharge were observed in the city on Thursday, December 19, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha has imposed a curfew within the Mangaluru Central jurisdiction.

The areas coming under the curfew orders are Urwa, Pandeshwar, Barke, Bunder, and Kadri. The curfew is further expected to be imposed on the entire city.

Meanwhile, loudspeaker announcements have been made from mosques for all youths to vacate the place and returns back to their homes. Requests are also being made in order to stop the violent protests.
