Creation of more jobs for youth aim of my ministry: Min R Chandrasekhar

Mangaluru: Under the powers of my ministry, I plan to create job opportunities for youth, said Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

He was speaking to media persons here on Wednesday August 18. Stating that the upgradation and progress of IT Technology is the future of the county and I understand that post-Corona situation technology needs to be improved a lot, he observed.

He said that he will try his best to fulfill the request made by BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel on sanctioning an IT Park to Mangaluru. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Bharatnet Project before the Corona phase and it is my responsibility to see that the project reaches the people, effectively. Further, a project to take internet to 5,000 villages is also on the anvil. Pre-Corona the aim of Bharatnet project was different. However, now we are planning to reach the common masses through the project as they are in need of internet to use it for essentials like Arogya Setu app, he stressed.

He said that Digital Village is a pilot project of the Central Government and a village from every district of Karnataka has been selected for the same. The project is Digital Village has already been started. Modi has a vision that India should be a world leader in technology, he informed.

He expressed that he has a soft corner for this region as he had done his Computer Engineering course from Manipal years ago. The Minister is in City to flag-off Janaashirvada Yatra organised by the BJP.
