Moodbidri: A man accused of killing his wife with a pestle at Matha within Daregudde gram panchayat limits arrested on Wednesday August 18.

It is said that Dinraj and his wife, Sunita (30), had fought on Tuesday evening. Reportedly, Dinraj, in a fit of rage, had hit his wife’s head with a wooden pestle.

After finding that blood was oozing out of his wife’s head, Dinraj took her to the hospital in Mangaluru. But it is said that due to excessive bleeding, Sunita passed away.

Accused Dinraj was arrested by the Moodbidri police on Wednesday morning.
