Kasargod: A report from Kasargod stated that a group of miscreants allegedly murdered a CPM member here at Seethangoli on Monday.

P Murali(35) a resident of Kumble Shantipally was murdered by an unidentified group when he was on his way back home along with his friend.

The group allegedly attacked Murali and his friend in the rickshaw in which he was travelling.

After suffering multiple injuries Murali was taken to hospital immediately but in vain. He died on the way.

News of the murder spread across Kasargod and CPM has called for bandh as a protest on Tuesday.

Thomson Jose district police officer and team visited the spot and are further investigating the case.

It is suspected that BJP might have committed this crime to bring CPM down in the area.

The incident has disrupted peace and order in Kasargod and Manjeshwar.
