Cops nab Rajasthani youth for stealing 3.6 kg gold

Mangalore : A youth wanted by the police in Mangalore in connection with  the theft of gold worth Rs one crore, has been arrested in Rajasthan. The accused is Sagar Gehlot. The Mangalore police arrested him with assistance from their Rajasthan counterparts.

The arrest was done on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Hasmukh Kimraz with the Bunder police. Hasmukh who hails from Mumbai but resides in Mangalore  collects gold from jewellery shops in Mangalore and sends it to Mumbai for making jewellery in various designs. It is learnt, he had given 3.6 kg gold to Sagar on August 5 to keep it in house, but the latter had fled with the gold.

The  police have brought the  accused to Mangalore for further enquiry.
