Bantwal : Bantwal TMC officials with the help of the Police Department removed several controversial banners that were put up in various places near BC Road bus stand, on January 2, Thursday.

The banners which were at the place since the past few days were said to be provocative and were titled “Neevelli Sattu Hogiddeera” ( Where have you died?). Following several complaints and in view of maintaining peace and order, the TMC  decided to remove the banners.TMC Chief Officer Mattadi and Bantwal SI Kabbal Raj were present.

Meanwhile, an incident wherein a police constable prevented some media men from taking photographs of the removal of banners also took place. The police man even questioned the motive behind taking photographs. When the photographers said they belonged to the media, the police man counter questioned saying  I know, but why do you need the photographs?”
