Mangalore : The Mangalore Police have achieved a breakthrough in the investigations into the recent Bejai shoot-out case. A police team from Mangalore which had left for Maharashtra has been successful in arresting two Ravi Poojari associates. The arrests were made with the help of police personnel from Kharad station.

The team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police attached to city central subdivision, K Tilakchandra, inspector of City Crime Branch, Valentine D’Souza, Urwa police station inspector, R B Maledevar, police sub-inspector, Ravishankar, Barke sub-inspector of police, Shariff, and others has arrested Ganesh (26) from Satara in Maharashtra and Mukhesh (26) also from Satara.
A motor cycle, a pistol and three rounds of ammunition have been seized from the duo. Police have also arrested one Anand Kumar alias Anto from Hongasandra in Bangalore on the charges of helping underworld dons like Ravi Poojari and Kali Yogish by passing on information regarding builders in Mangalore, including their phone numbers in an extortion bid. He is also an accused in the murder of promoters of Shabnam Developers, Bangalore.
The arrests were made under the direction of City Police Commissioner R Hithendra.
