Mangalore : An interaction programme between organic farmers and consumers on the topic ‘ Toxin free rice bowl’  was held at the Jnana Mandir of Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple in the city on Sunday June 29 under the aegis of the Savayava Krishi Parivara Sangha. Sharavu Raghavendra Shastri inaugurated the programme.

Anand, Trustee of Krishi Prayoga Parivara  was the resource person. The consumers were enlightened on  the disastrous effects of health  due to use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and other toxic chemicals on crops.

An organic fair wherein organic fruits and vegetables were sold, was also held at the Jnana Mandira on the occasion.
