Mangaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi at to why should people vote for him despite his contributions to the country bring a big zero.

Addressing the reporters at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), on Sunday, April 7, Kumaraswamy said, “constitutional institutions are decimated under Modi regime. The decision over privatising airports including the MIA too had been taken by the Modi government. The profit-making Vijaya Bank has been merged with the Bank of Baroda by Modi government. Then why should people vote for Modi?”, he questioned.

Meanwhile, Kumaraswamy expressed his displeasure over the media and questioned whether media have any ethics. “ Media has reserved more time for highlighting Mandya Lok Sabha election and spreading fake information about me. Truth will be unveiled once the results would are out on May 23”, he said.

Kumaraswamy clarified that Congress national president Rahul Gandhi would also visit the district. “ Though his visit was scheduled on April 13, it was changed as Modi too wad visiting Mangaluru on the same day. The next date will be announced shortly”, he informed.

In order to address the leaders and workers of both the JDS and the Congress, the CM then proceeded to Karkala. As per the scheduled programme, he would visit both Karkala and Udupi and later reach Mangaluru and Sullia.
