Mangalore: The Congress has alleged that around 50 banners of party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, put up in various parts around the city have been deliberately damaged.
Stating it to be the work of anti-social elements to insult the Congress party  and its leaders, the party has said that it will be holding a rally from Mijar Bolechar to Kaikamba on December 22, at 2.30 pm to protest against the act.

Former union minister and senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary will flag off the rally.  A vehicle rally will proceed till Bajpe police station to submit a memorandum in this regard.  Vijayanath Vittal Shetty, a party leader has urged people to participate in the protest march.
