Mangalore:The massive controversy over journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik’s meeting with terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed has led to many disruptions in Parliament and protests in the country.

On Monday, July 21st,the Congress committees of Mangalore city, Mangalore South, and Suratkal block protested against the govt.’s silence on the subject.

Former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty present at the protest, said that the nation is shocked and confused about the consequences, we might face however the nation will not tolerate such acts.  Moreover he said that, we understand that there was a track II diploamatic  meeting at Pakistan and even journalist Barkha Dutt and Mani Shankar Aiyar too attended it, but they returned in five days.

However Vaidik stayed for 15 days, why did he do so? And what is the motto of meeting a person who has more than Z security? and has a price on his head by the United States of Amercia, he questioned.

We condemn such an act, as concerned citizens we demand that Ved Pratap Vaidik must immediately be arrested and interrogated so that the truth is in the  public domain and scrutinized, he said.
