Mangalore: DK BJP District president Prathapasimha Nayak blamed Congress of spreading unnecessary criticism about Rukmaya Poojary, a BJP campaigner.

Speaking to the reporters here in the DK BJP election office on April 10, Prathapasimha says that Rukmaya Poojary has fought against the emergency and worked for the existence of democracy further he was sent to jail for 19 months.

During his imprisonment Congress has treated him as an ordinary prisoner and physically tortured him. So they do not have the moral right to criticize him.

We are confident that this time Rukmaya Poojary will win in the Lok Sabha election Nayak added.

During the press meet vidhana Parishat member Captain Ganesh Karnik, DK BJP spokes person sathish Prabhu, Divakar Samani,Ravishankar Mijaru,Shakila Bava and many others were present.
