Bantwal : Thursday,  A congratulatory banner put up by the congress party in front of the Kanyana PU college, was torn and mangled. The incident came to light on Monday July 7th Morning.

The Banner was put up by the Youth Congress to congratulate and thank the District In Charge Minister, Ramanath Rai for the First grade College at Manjooru and the Chief Minister for the introduction of the Akrama Sakrama Law.

The Kanyana Youth Congress President Naufal filed a complaint with the Vitla Police station alleging the incident. The situation has been tense in the last few days in Kanyana and the banner incident has now made it worse he alleged. He urged the police to arrest the culprits immediately.
