Computer training programme conducted for Christian students

Mangalore: The Directorate of Minorities of Government of Karnataka and the Aditya Call Centre Private Ltd (ACCPL) organised a computer training programme for Christian students at the Sahodaya Hall in the city on Saturday August 9. The programme was inaugurated by Fr Valerian D’Souza, Parish Priest of Milagres Church.

Speaking on the occasion, Akram Pasha, Director of the Directorate of Minorities informed that he State Government has earmarked Rs 800 crore for the welfare of minorities in the state. He also urged the minorities to make best use of the schemes initiated by the government and regretted the lack of awareness regarding the schemes. He also stated that the government has implemented as many as 28 schemes for the welfare of minorities in the state.

Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo, S P Thirunavukkarasu, Managing Director of ACCPL, Sabeer Ahmad Mulla, District Minority Welfare Officer and others was present on the occasion.
