Committee urges to lay ring road in front of Brahmarakootlu Temple

Bantwal:A Committee that has been waging struggle to save Sri Brahma temple that is located besides NH 75 near Brahmarakootlu, here presented a memorandum to Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, on Saturday October 26, not to demolish the temple while widening the highway instead lay a ring road in front of the temple.

The Committee also urged the district administration to build a foot-over-bridge in the same location. Besides, to construct bus shelter either side of the highway, to repair the service road that passes through Ramalkatte – Brahmarakootlu- Talapady, to provide streetlight on highway, etc.

The Committee also urged not to introduce toll fee till all these demands are met.

The Committee president Divakar Shetty Kuppila, BJP Bantwal block vice president Purusha N Salian, Charan Kumar Jumadigudde, Manohar Kanjattoor, Yogish Darebagilu, Deviprasad, Mahesh Chandrike were present on the occasion.
