Mangalore: Several changes in and around Nehru maidan have been made for AICC Vice president Rahul Gandhi’s rally which will be held on April 4.




Public vehicles are allowed to park 500 metres away from the nehru maidan, till the rally gets over.
Several sectors have been formed such as sector one has been allotted to the Kundapur-Udupi-Surathkal route, vehicles will have to pass through to Kottarchouki-Ladyhill-M.G Road-P.V.S-Navabharath-K.S Rao Road as well as Sharavu temple-Carstreet and park in Ullal nursing home, premises.
Sector two is permitted to Moodubidri-Karkala route, vehicles will be passing through Nanthur circle-St.Agnes-S.C.S hospital-Collector’s Gate-Shanthi Nilaya-Athena hospital road and through Avery junction-Milagres church-Noor masjid-Attavara K.M.C-Koti Chennaya circle and are asked to park in Vaman nayak ground.
Sector three is for Belthangady-Bantwal-Kasargod vehicles are asked to move from Pumpwell to Karavali circle-Kankanady-Valencia-Koti Chennaya circle-Mangaladevi-Pandeshwara-Corporation bank-Nehru circle and park either in Rosario school or St.Annes school or Yemmekere ground.
KSRTC buses coming from pumpwell route to main busstand will be passing through Nanthur-KPT-Kuntikana-Baliga store.
Vehicles from Athena hospital through Shanti Nilaya-Balmatta have been cancelled on April 4, for temporary basis.
Vehicles are not allowed to pass from National highways once the political VIPs arrives in the city.
Only for those guests and media persons who have received permission parking is allowed in University campus and Taluk office.
These rules are not meant for police vehicles, VIP and emergency service else all type of vehicle rallies are prohibited on the day of rally.
People are not allowed to take matchbox, water bottle, lighter, bag and camera and any other weapons or crackers.
