Mangalore: The port city is all geared up for the grand and befitting finale to the Mangalore Dasara celebrations of Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli. The city has been wearing a whole new look since the past nine days and is today awaiting the grand Mangalore Dasara procession that will pass through several roads before culminating at the Temple.
The colourfully illuminated streets of Mangalore for the grand festivities are a feast to the eyes and it is a joy to travel on the city roads during evening hours and watching with amaze the thousands of miniature lights in all colours. All the streets through which the Dasara procession will pass through have been illuminated. The aerial view of the brightly illuminated Pumpwell Circle is indeed a delight to watch.
Already devotees from across the nation have descended to the city to be a part of the grand festivities and witness the historic Dasara procession of Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, Kudroli.
The procession carrying the idol of Goddess Sharada, Navadurgas, innumerous tableaux, Huli Veshas etc begins from the Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, Kudroli precincts at 4 pm and will culminate at the temple during the wee hours of October 15, Wednesday, after passing through Mannagudda, Ladyhill, Lalbagh, PVS, KS Rao Road, GHS Road, Carstreet and Alake.
