Mangaluru: A young woman who was rushing to her workplace died after a tipper lorry rammed into her two-wheeler at Kenjar cross, Bajpe here on Monday April 18.

The deceased has been identified as Shabana Khan alias Shabana Banu (26), a resident of Battrakere, Permude.

Shabana was employed at City Centre Mall and was on the way to work when the accident took place.

The tipper driver escaped from the spot soon after the accident.

The police have seized the tipper.

A case has been registered in Suratkal traffic police station.
